Opal Octopi

Guess what? I will give you a hint. It is one of the most exciting weeks in the year, aside from my birthday week.

SHARK WEEK! I'm so excited. Discovery Channel has been a constant on my Television. I am sure that Katie Nelson will be very excited, she is a huge shark fan. In celebration of the this epic week I thought that for sure National Geographic would make a shark their photo of the day but they didn't but it's still a very adorable photo, check it out.

Anyway the count day has started, I go back to school in a week. I am excited to go back to school because I really miss all of my school friends. The idea of getting up early and going to class isn't too exciting but I have until the 17th to worry about that. I get to go back and hang out with all of the awesome RA's and do a week of hopefully fun training.

Oh and Andy Samberg is the host of shark week which makes it even better!

Narcissistic Nations

In the past two days I have seen four movies. That is a record for my and a lot for my mind to take in because this may have been the first time this summer that I went to the movies. I have seen, "Friends with Benefits", "Bad Teacher", "Smurf", "Crazy, Stupid, Love" Now "Smurfs" was not by choice, I took my babysitting children to see it today. It was sort of okay but it was a little long for a children's movie.

I wasn't sure what to blog about today but I know that you have all been dying to read another post from me so I will make it a good one.

By now many of my blog stalkers probably do not know much about me because lets face it I am a pretty awesomely modest person. Now I do not let many people know important facts about me but this is the one rare occasion.

Important Facts:
  1. I do not have my pilots license. You may doubt this but trust me if I did I would have an airplane I would be taking many trips
  2. I have ten toes and ten fingers. WOW!
  3. I am forever 21, at the exact moment I turned 21, it was the last day I aged. I am no longer getting older. Be jealous
  4. I never owned an ant farm when I was younger, I do believe that my brother did. I can barely keep a fair fish alive so putting my in charge of an entire farm is probably not an ideal situation
  5. I am insanely awesome and beautiful
  6. I am the most modest person ever
  7. I have a twin sister and we are both princesses. This is not just some made up dream or fantasy, we are actually princesses
  8. I suck at math and science, which is why being a doctor or some super smart math geek was never in the books for me, but when you are as awesome as me it doesn't really matter
  9. I love watching scary movies, I usually can only watch one movie at a time before I start to get bored but when it comes to scary movies, I could watch them all day
  10. I believe in Karma to some extent
  11. Things always happen for a reason
  12. I have never been on a camels back
  13. Oranges are not purple
  14. Never worn or needed glasses/contacts
  15. I have still never found Bigfoot
  16.  I hate people who have nasty teeth. That is something I first notice on someone. It won't stop me from talking to them but I hate it
  17. I do not live in a castle
  18. I am not a Pirate, sorry for the disappointment
  19. Sailing a boat is not for me
  20. I have a bird named apple that I call butt, not because I hate him it is just a nickname that started a long time, he is 9 years old. He may actually be a little older than that.

So now that you know 20 vital facts about my life you should basically want to be me. But you can't, I mean isn't stalking me enough for you?

Multiple Mooses

This may seem strange and odd to most of my blog stalkers but becoming an adult is a difficult thing. I haven't even graduated from college and gotten a big kid job and I am aware of the stress that is here and to come. Many of my friends are moving out and too apartments and starting jobs or grad. school. I am so happy for all of them. But sometimes it can get rough and life just doesn't seem to be far.

I want to say that I am a good listener when someone needs a friend to talk too but I hate when I can't give them the exact answer that they need. But I can give some encouragement. One of my good friends is going through a difficult time right now and I feel so bad for her but I hope this helps.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)

On a lighter note, I have a new obession with headbands. It is not uncommon that I become obbessed with something, shoes, necklaces, and earrings to name a few.

Okay so some of these might look ridiculous but I am pull off anything and I rock everything I wear.

Loosing Lechwes

Two things made my day today.

1. Katie Nelson is finally back in North Carolina. She went to some European countries for about 4 or 5 weeks and did not invite me. She would probably say that it had to do with the fact that this was a Methodist mission trip and since I am Lutheran obvisously I was not qualified to go, but really I think I should have gone. I mean I had nothing else to do this summer besides work and make money for school this coming up semester. Thinking that Europe is more important than my future is a very clear fact that I have my priorities straight. (In fact I am very aware but I love sarcasim so I insert it into everything that I say and it makes me very happy when people do not understand that I am not serious. Basically I am happy most of the time because people just don't understand)

2. The second awesome piece of amazement that made my day is this:

I need to be on this show. This is the type of chef that I hope makes my food whenever I go out to eat. When I open the resturant at my vinyard I will definitely use some of these ideas to test out which chefs I hire. It is very important that my chef be able to cook outside in a rain storm and have the ability to hike up a mountain with frying pans.  In all realness I feel as though this is a very unecessary TV show.

Kissing Kermit

I had the strangest dream last night, I dreamed that I was professional who worked on computers. It was just really strange because nothing made sense, I don't remember too much else but I guess that is the point of a dream.

Currently I am obessed with Project Runway, mainly because that is all that has been on TV during the day. I had never really watched the show before but I am actually surprised about the premire on Thursday, Oh reality TV.Vanka and were talking tonight about the fact that we both enjoy having the TV on even if it is just on mute. Just like right now, the TV is currently on mute and my itunes is playing. You are probably thinking that I am wasting electricity by having all of this going at once but it is part of the whole blogging mojo that I have going on. And you are welcome.

So I am so ready to go back to school. I miss all of my friends soooo much and I am excited for the awesome ideas that  my partner, Boyce and I, have for our floor this coming up semester. When the summer first started I was having a difficult time accepting the fact that I was still an undergrad but everything is okay now and I so ready to start again.

Now that I have an iphone I am having so much fun looking for apps that I can use for it. I have the touch but many of the awesomeness you need the phone for, so now I am dowloading the useless free apps that I will probably never use and delete in a few weeks. But it is how i stay productive.

Tonight Vanka and I went to Mexican for dinner and as we left a spanish version of "Every Breathe You Take" by Police was playing. Needless to say it made my day/evening.

Have a good laugh.

Jabbering Jabiru

Of course today nothing exciting happened. I did attempt to make plans with Vanka for Monday but they feel through, due to the fact that I have to be a responsible adult and work. But it's okay because Katie Nelson is finally coming home on Monday!!

Anyway, I was making cookies this evening ( I love to bake, I don't usually eat what I bake but the process is very stress relieving, and I don't have to worry about it being around the house for too long because my brother and his friends devour everything in their site) and while baking I was listening to my iPod on shuffle and the song "To Make You Feel My Love" by Billy Joel came on and it reminded me of how much I love this song.

"When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world is on your case
I would offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love

When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one there to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

I know you haven't made your mind up yet
But I would never do you wrong
I've known it from the moment that we met
No doubt in my mind where you belong

I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue
I'd go crawling down the avenue
There's nothing that I wouldn't do
To make you feel my love

The storms are raging on the rollin' sea
And on the highway of regret
The winds of change are blowing wild and free
You ain't seen nothing like me yet

I could make you happy, make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends of the earth for you
To make you feel my love"

Oh and my twin will be happy to know that I made peanut butter cookies but instead of sticking kisses in the middle of them I stuck them with hugs! And they turned out awesome.

This will be a shorter than normal post but it's all about to get interesting.

Iambical Igloos

Yesterday afternoon/evening was very eventful and educational. I learned a lot about people, especially Sunana Elizabeth (her new middle name) Chatrath and Vanka Ann Vance. To start off this adventure we went to Outback for dinner because we are just that awesome. We then came back to my house and made a cookie cake.  I gave them a great surprise by making the cookies from scratch, not the cheap break and bake for me. There were some classy cookie pictures taken but Vanka has yet to put them online. (She is probably just afraid that Sunana and I will start teasing her again about the fact that she bascially invited herself to the entire evening, but we couldn't tell her no because Sunana and I are her role models. I am pretty sure, aka 100% positive that she wants to be a twin princess when she grows up, just like my twin Sunana and I. But don't worry once she puts up the pictures I will put them in a future blog so you can enjoy) All evening Vanka couldn't even tell the two of us apart because Sunana and I look just alike.

Although I can't blame her for getting us confused I mean look at us:

Try to guess who is who? It is really tough

Some very important matters were discussed last night. For example, you no long say , 'please', when you want someone to do something for you. You say, 'I'm gonna marry rich.' This is very important to remember because saying please makes you seem a stuck up but saying, I'm gonna marry rich, is normal and it won't even phase people.

Vanka let Sunana and I in on a little secret. Her favorite topics of conversation are Grammer, Steak, and I actually can't remember the third thing but it's not my fault I can't remember I just don't listen whenever Vanka talks. All evening these are the only things she would talk about, it did make for some good laughs.

My blog stalkers will be glad to know that we did all the important sleepover activities. We baked an amazing cookie cake (it was so good we will probably be opening our own bakery very soon in the next 50 years), painted our nails, and we were going to practice our model walks (obviously we all are going to be models very soon) but we got too distracted so the model walks didn't happen. It is a surprise that the three of us got distracted, we are the most focused group of girls ever.

While we were painting our nails I started to wonder if I could pull of a uni-brow, and YES I  can.

Obviously you agree. I am HOT.

So I informed you about Vanka's awesomeness I should let you know about Sunana. She was going to go med. school in the fall at Virginia Tech. but those plans changed last night. Her degree from Duke is no longer good because she is going to Cosmetology school. Just look at the talent she did to my face.

Be jealous! I am looking so good, I have honestly never looked better in my entire life.

So all in all it was a very productive and fun evening. Sorry you weren't invited but we probably just don't like you that much.

Hacking Hippos

Today was started off very normal. It was bad but there was nothing that was making is spectacular. But when I got home from babysitting everything changed. I got a letter in the mail from a friend, Jessica Sink. Okay so I do get mail often I guess but this was a just a good old fashion letter. I loved it. It seriously made my day. It doesn't not take much to make my day, I am one of those people who still gets excited when I get a text or email, so a letter was AMAZING! Trust I will be writting her back.

This made me start about the last time I wrote a letter for no reason. I believe that my grandpa Menzel, who is still very sick so keep him in your prayers, was the last person I wrote a letter to. I try to write him once a month when I am at school.

Although not too much went on today in the world of Elizabeth but I did get a small part of my life figured out. Exciting for me.

I am also looking forward to this weekend for various reasons. The children that I babysit for got a new puppy a few days ago, he is a beagle named Charlie and he is the cutest thing ever. I am not much of a dog person, not that I hate them I just get over them very quickly, but Charlie is so adorable and cute. It is probably just the pure fact that he is a puppy, a friend of mine got a new puppy for her apartment last semester and I fell in love with him.

As I said before please keep praying for my Grandpa because he is still not doing well, but I have hope and faith that he will be able to return home ASAP.
