Motivation for a Break

Made it through a hectic Tuesday, hope you safely made it through because for me it was a major headache but I convinced it is just schools way of preparing me for spring break so I can totally relax.

Today a friend of mine who is constantly in a good mood showed me some very motivating quotes and of course I love cheesy stuff like adorable quotes.

Finally, I gave in a got a Pintrest. This basically just gives me another reason to distract myself from everything that I need to be doing.

Did you watch the Oscars last night?

Suite 408 did and after watching them I realized there are quite few movies that I need to watch because half of the movies that won awards I had never seen. But over all it was a good show.

Busy day of driving for HOURS and doing laundry with the attempt of some homework.

I don't really have much planned for spring break but I have been feeling extra crafty lately so I want to try some exciting crafts when I get home.

Gloomy Todays

I have came to the decision along time ago that I am one of the least fashion forward people I know. Yesterday I saw this girl who had made the most boring pair of brown shoes adorable by just adding buttons. I would never have thought of that.


(I am very oaky with the fact that I know nothing about fashion I just assume that one day all of my friends that are fashion awesome will rub off on me, probably never going to happen but I dream)


I also have had a very difficult time coming to terms with the fact that yesterday was beautiful, today is disgustingly stormy, and tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful again. This weather gives me the worst headaches and confuses my moods.


Also, I can't wait to for spring break because I am going to attempt to make this:

Guess What?!


I get to go home in about a week and I am so excited. The semester really seems to go by slow when you don't ever go home. I have so great expectations for this spring break.

1. Use the week to get some needed work on some serious projects done
2. Spend time with my family
3. Take my car to the shop because the poor thing has needed to go the car fixing people for long time
4. Attempt to get my hair cut, this all depends on whether or not I remember to make an appointment
5. Catch up on all of the sleep that I seemed to forget to get at school
6. See all of my friends that I am having withdrawals from

Yes it does sound like I will be having way to much fun over my break.

Hacking My Distractions

Today flew by, I can't even remember all I did today even though I didn't leave my desk, except when I had to make an emergency trip to Cookout for some much needed ice-cream. 

A friend who enjoys procrastination/distractions as much as me, made my life a little brighter today by showing me these important/life changing necessities. Some are pretty stupid but others are pretty nifty.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to the most amazing Dad EVER!

Today is my dad's birthday and I was hoping to be able to go home this weekend for it but once again Pembroke has won the battle.


Anyway I hope he has a fantastic day.


My dad is truly amazing and there are many reason as to why but here are just a few:

1. He is hilarious although sometimes I am the only person in my family who thinks so, besides himself.
2. I am pretty confident that I get my sense of humor from him
3. He is a great listener
4. He will do anything for anybody without ever expecting anything in return
5. Whenever I need him he will drive 3 hours to school to be here for me
6. Freshmen year of college I he bought my math book to have at home with him so that he could help me do my math homework while I was away at school. FYI I have the worst math skills ever, I am positive my brain rejects the subject
7. He is a strong Christian
8. Rarely gets mad
9. Has allowed me to be in college FOREVER 
10. Has supported basically every decision I have made, even changing my major three times

Like I said these are just a few of the reasons my dad is so awesome.

Lately, for me it's been my talks with God and the always amazing Matchbox 20.

These are just few of my favorite songs of their albums. But really it is hard to pick a few because they are all so amazing. However if it weren't for Katie or Stephanie's love of the Box I wouldn't be into their music. So maybe they are the reason for my good moods lately? Maybe?

Happy Valentines Day!

I don't really celebrate this day but I have gotten some really cute Valentines from some awesome people and my amazing parents.


One of my absolute favs. was a handmade Valentine from my one of my most amazing awesome fantastic bestie ever, Katie Nelson. Also getting mail always brightens my day and I am convinced that it makes my PO Box happy because it sits empty 350 days of the year.

I love my friends.

The problems with a Monday

This may be a day late but, How was your Monday?

Mine was crazy stressful and I had to deal with difficult people. I loath drama and I can't stand rude people and I had to deal with both of those in a major way yesterday.

In order to get through a stressful day I need several necessitates to make it possible.

1.  2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline."

Obviously coffee is the #2

Long Long While

I have been absent for such a long time, and I am very sorry for that. My days have been starting at 7:45 am and not ending until 10pm aka: I have no time for anything extra.

This past week was so busy and exciting. I talked to a friend on the phone who I haven't talked to in forever.

Starbucks started their valentines cups which always brighten my  mornings.

I have probably only played this game 4 times in my life and I  am very bad at. I make myself feel better about this by telling myself that it takes skill to be this bad at a simple block game.

Beginning of the Shortest Time

Someone told me today "Happy February 1st" I had to stop and think "Oh man I totally forgot it was the first of the month." The fact that I didn't even realize what day it was is probably means I have gotten stuck into mundane day to day lifestyle. I seriously need to mix things up. Probably won't but I should.



There are many reasons that I love February. Today was a good example because it got up to 74 which is a rare occasion, I am sure this time last year it was snowing/freezing outside.



I also found out today that Pluto was discovered in February. Yes, I have a friend that tells me the most useless facts. I have no idea how he knows so much about nonsense.



The main reason I love February is because of MARDI GRAS!! (Feb. 21st) Celebrate. I have never been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras but I seriously want to go some year soon. Who's coming with me?
