Baking like Bakers who Bake

Yesterday was such fun day!

Sunana, Vanka, and I had a marvelous baking party.

We made two recipes.

  • Mini Nutella Cups. (ours weren’t actually mini, we didn’t have access to mini cupcake pans so we had normal size nutella cups

Make it HERE

  • Peanut Butter Brownie Cups

Obviously everything tasted amazing because we are three professional bakers.

On Growing Up and Always Changing

Because one day I will be forced to become a mature adult.

Although after reading this I found out I may be more adult than I thought. (what an unfortunate discovery)

Thursday Nonsense and Such

Hope that you have all had a great week so far.

Yesterday I went and saw Rock of Ages. It was such a great movie and luckily the theater wasn’t too crowded because my friend and I were singing along to all of the songs. (well I didn’t know all of the songs but my friend knew all of the songs.)

I really haven’t’ done too much this week except for catching up with friends and laying around the house. I guess it’s good to have lazy weeks sometimes.

The good news is I found some cute DIY projects.

So this is somethings that I would never ever try but it is a semi fun idea.

This spoon lamp looks fun!

Lastly is the awesome idea:

Check out this adorable proposal.

Good Old Times

Hope you all had a great father's day eve.

I basically just did yard work with my parents, went flower shopping (I love to shop for anything even flowers), and watched NetFlix for the rest of the evening. I lead quite the adventurous life.

I was listening to the radio a few days ago and a Backstreet Boys song came on and my babysitting kids had no idea who they were. I felt really  bad for them, it must be hard not knowing the greatest band that ever lived. Well needless to say it made me feel a little old. So I have been thinking (I had some free time while watching NetFlix today) what else makes me feel old.

  1. When songs that I remember hearing for the first time come on an "Oldies" station
  2. I still remember asking "A/S/L"
  3. Looking at recent pictures of Hanson or Aaron Carter
  4. When I Facebook stalk people from high school and I remember them being stupid or strange but now they are getting married or having kids
  5. My friend just had her 2 year anniversary with her husband
  6. I still get amazed by music videos
  7. I am always 1,000 years behind on the newest and "coolest" bands
  8. I set my alarm for 8am every morning because I don't like to sleep the day away (except for those days when my body refuses to get out of bed)
  9. I am concerned about others' lives, not just my own

For those of you who know me, you know that I stopped getting older after 21. But apparently I have failed at that, the only thing keeping me from becoming an actually adult is the fact that I am still in college.

On a rando note, I saw this today. Strange.

Weekends

I have spent the last two days doing major house work with my mom. And when I say major I really mean hanging up blinds, curtains, and pictures. But it felt like each shade/blind was being crazy difficult but it may had been our lack of experience when it comes to using a drill.

Successes of my week:

  1. bought the most adorable decorative bird cage to hang from my ceiling. I have been looking for one for what seems like ever.
  2. put together my father’s day gift
  3. finally finished putting together a friends birthday present. (let me point out her birthday was over a month ago, hopefully we are still friends)
  4. bought the new "Sherlock Holmes” movie
  5. found the most amazing Kate Spade giraffe phone case

2 Weeks of Wanna-Be-Drama

So it’s been a crazy long time since I last wrote to you all.

There has been so much going on lately and I should really catch you up on everything that has been keeping me busy. (by keeping me busy I mean I have basically been doing nothing but working and that's all).

Last thing I told you was that I was going to a horse show. Well let me tell you how much I had no idea of what was going on. But I did learn that Nicole (girl I babysit for who I took to the show) and I can not lick our elbows.

Here is a look of what the last few weeks of my life have consisted of:

Saw this license plate. Let me point out that the classy girl had this was ridding a tricycle

Saw this adorable baby dear on the side of the road. It started to follow the car as I drove away

Spent multiple evenings cathing fireflies with this two cuties

So apparently this is what Polly Pocket looks like now, this is ridiculous, that would never fit in a pocket. She is basically a miniature Barbie.

This is what it looked like when I was a kid.

Thats basically all I have been up to.

In about month I have to get my wisdom teeth taken out and after I went to my consultation I called my friend to complain to him about the situation. I needed to point out that some man whose name I can’t pronounce and who wears brown Birkenstock sandals with grey socks is going to be yanking my teeth out. Well being to good friend he is, he emailed me this.

I promise to stay in touch more regularly.
