Sinical Shoes

Yesterday while Boyce  and I were sitting in the 4th floor hallway doing room check-in's, we realized that we were tired. Now it would not have been very professional of us to just fall asleep on the job so we had to think of creative ways to make time go by faster. The most logical way was to do some 90's music Karaoke.

We sang to:

"The Freshmen" by Verve Pipe

"Lullabye" by Shawn Mullins

"It's been a while" By Stained

"Jumper" by Third Eye Blind

"If you could only" see By Tonic

"Hanging on by a Moment" by Lifehouse

"Here's to the Night" by Eve 6

"Everything You Want" by Vertical Horizon

"Father of Mine" by Everclear

"When I Come Around" by Greenday

"Can't You See" by The Marshall Tucker Band

Love these songs.

Today was the last day of training and we did a presentation of what Res Life means to us, tonight. It was so neat and fun to see what everyone did for their presentation. I did a poem that reminded me of my Oak Hall staff and what they all mean to me.

A Family Of Friends
Author Unknown
You'll find there's a family of friends living here,
a small group of minds, and hearts;
With some of us clever and some of us not,
At times you can't tell us apart.

There's one who is cranky, and one who is shy,
And one who is really uncouth;
And just when you think you have discovered who's who,
You'll really uncover the truth.

The truth that we're all just a little of each,
A group of imperfects are we
And sometimes I might criticize them to you,
But don't ever knock them to me.

'Cause the one thing that ties us together for life-
no matter how far we're apart,
Is love for each other, a family of friends
A small group of minds, and of hearts.

I do not usally like cheesyness like this but this really spoke to me.
